Shop Talk Original
This is a colourful image of a typical village in rural Ireland. If you look closely, the buildings look like faces…with the colourful windows being the eyes and the shop front name being the mouths. The titles of the shops have some meaning for me. “The Bell Inn” comes from my mother’s maiden name. The “Gallery” is an artistic vision of mine. “Molly’s Sweets” is names after my niece “Twice as Nice” is one of my favourite shops in Galway. And as for “The Tea Cup”…everybody needs one of those in their lives. They are all huddled together in secret conversation…hence, the name of this painting, “Shop Talk”.
